When we search “Tabs” in Firefox Add-ons Centre, we may get about 400 results, which are all extensions about Firefox Tab Pages. Today, I will introduce some extensions that gain your Firefox Tabs performance to you.

Last Tab Close Button

Perhaps this add-on is the most simple one in Firefox Add-ons center. Just install it and it will show close button on the last tab in Firefox, which closes the last tab but not the browser. This extension would be useful for Fast Dial and Speed Dial users, especially for Firefox 3.5* users.

TabCounter

Installing TabCounter, you will see some stats in the status bar,which is the number of open tabs in your current window and in all Firefox windows. If clicking on the little icon in the status bar you can view some usage statistics, such as the average number of tabs you use, your max and the sum of all tabs you have ever opened.

Close Repeated Tabs

Are you the kind of user that opens more and more and more tabs each time you hit a page? Have you ever been looking for some kind of product on eBay and opening each offer you find in a new tab? Then Close Repeated Tabs is just for you. This add-on simply adds an options to the Firefox’s Tools Menu called “Close Repeated Tabs” which just does that: close the repeated tabs. With it, You won’t ever have to check that page twice again completely.

If you install this add-on, it will color every tab in a different color and make them easy to distinguish while beautifying the overall appearance of the interface. Yes, It can make all tabs colorful and beautiful.

Undo Closed Tabs Button

When undoing some closed tabs, you may re-open them through” History -> Recently Closed Tabs“ . Maybe you say that there is a keyboard shortcut (CTRL+SHIFT+Z) to help us undo a recent tab,but it cant’t open more tabs. So, with extension Undo Closed Tabs Button, you can undo closed tabs via a toolbar and/or tab bar button or the right-click context menu.
