Make New Tabs Open Closer to Your Tab with Firefox Extension Tabs Open Relative
As a Firefox user, sometimes, you may meet such a situation that each time you open a new tab, Firefox automatically places it at the far right hand of the current set in your tab bar, which is really annoying for people who are working with a large number of tabs. The Tabs Open Relative extension will make all new tabs open to the right of the current tab, rather than at the far right of the tab bar, which maks navigation much easier.
As is said in its description, Once installed, Tabs Open Relative will make all new tabs open to the right of the current tab, rather than at the far right of the tab bar. In the case where several new tabs are opened in a row without switching tabs, each subsequent tab will be opened to the right of the previous one, so as to keep them in order. For example, if you have three tabs open, {A}, {B} and {C}, where the current tab is {B}, and then you open three more tabs, {1}, {2} and {3}, you’ll get: {A} {B} {1} {2} {3} {C}.
Of course, this only applies when you are clicking links on a page. And thera are other extensions like it, such as Next Tab, but Tabs Open Relative is the most simple, no-nonsense extension to offer this functionality.
