Firefox Extension Textarea++:Add Scrollbars and Resizable Function to Textareas
If you are familiar with Google Chrome browser, you may have known that there is a new feature in Chrome that allows a textarea to be resized by the user. Yes, there is the gray thing with stripes in a bottom right corner of every text area and you can drag this corner and move it right or down to make your life better. But when it comes to Firefox, the web browser users may feel a little disappointed for lack of this feature of resizing textareas.
Textarea++ is just a new designed extension for Firefox with a resizable function to textareas, which does a great job of resizing textareas. Textareas can be resized by simply moving the mouse cursor to the lower right corner. Then the textarea can then be increased or decreased in size. The developer of the add-on claims that it works with all textareas even those that are loaded dynamically and we have not found a textarea during our tests that would make that claim invalid. That sounds prefect, right?
Also, Another interesting feature of Textarea++ is the addition of a scrollbar for textareas where more text than the visible limit can handle has been entered. Most importantly, this scrollbar can be added even if scrollbar functionality has been locked by the webmaster.
In conclusion, for most Firefox users, it’s not so easy when you have to look for this bookmarklet every time you edit something big. But now, you can post on websites in more convenient ways with Textarea++.
