Travel Insurance – Is It A Necessity for Us?
As we all know, travel insurance is an insurance plan policy that covers completely different issues that may sometimes be associated with traveling. This insurance plan covers cancellation of trip because of illness, personal accident, medical expenses and every one other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury or difficulty occurring between the dates specified in the policy at the purpose of purchase. Yes, it is obvious that a proper travel insurance is a necessary part during our journey. But there is a trend that more and more people hold the idea that the travel insurance is not a necessity for us again, expecially meeting the difficult time. But have you met some problems during your journey before?
Lost baggage
Losing your baggage can be stressful – more so if it wasn’t your fault.
I recommend taking out baggage insurance rather than relying on airline compensation if your carrier loses your bags and suitcases in transit.
Airlines are required by law to pay a specific minimum amount per kilo of lost luggage to the traveller affected, which is likely to be far less than the actual worth of the belongings that have been mislaid.
Medical expenses
Medical bills can be huge in pretty much any foreign country if you haven’t taken out the right travel insurance.
Figures from FirstAssist Services indicate that the cost of flying back to the UK with a doctor escort from Australia in the event of injuring yourself or becoming ill can be between £15,000 and £20,000.
If you need to head back home from the Canary Islands, this can cost up to £16,000, while those doing so from the east coast of the US will be required to pay between £35,000 and £45,000 if they do not have travel insurance.
What else?
Holiday insurance can cover a number of other issues when heading abroad.
For example, you can get policies that offer protection for personal liability if you are sued for damaging property or causing injury, as well as those offering cover for lost and stolen possessions and needing to cancel or curtail your break.
If you have met such problems, you may change your idea and pay attention to travel insurance again. So, if you have kept in mind the above advice and realized of the importance of the travel insurance, then, you should enjoy a fun trip with a proper travel insurance if you don’t want to face some unexpacted losses.

Travel Insurance
In a word, travel insurance is really a necessity for us.

Simple; you tell them you do 12,000 miles a year and they price the policy at 12,000 miles of high risk. Put your mother on there as a second driver and they assume she will do 3,000 miles.

When I had gone to see my son and
family in the US, I developed Diarrhea on the first day itself. I was bed ridden and had to be rushed to the hospital. Because of Travel Insurance, we did not have to pay anything to the hospital….thank u……
